# Nomba

## Capabilities

| Capability | Status |
| - | - |
| Virtual accounts, opened by you and bound to wallets | Available |
| Inbound credits, signed and confirmed with Nomba | Available |
| Daily reconciliation from transaction history | Available |
| Payouts through payment orders | Planned, with payment orders |
| Currencies other than NGN | Not supported |

## Before you connect

* A Nomba corporate account with API keys.
* A webhook signature key set on the Nomba dashboard, for full integration.
* An NGN ledger, with the settlement and suspense accounts above.

## Credentials

Full integration, and read-only history access, ask for these. See [Connecting a bank](https://docs.panoqore.com/connectors/connecting.md) for where to enter them.

| Field | Where to find it |
| - | - |
| `environment` | `sandbox` or `production`. |
| `account_id` | Your business's parent account ID, shown with the API keys on the Nomba dashboard. |
| `client_id` | **Developer → API Keys** on the Nomba dashboard. |
| `client_secret` | **Developer → API Keys** on the Nomba dashboard. |
| `webhook_key` | The signature key you set under **Developer → Webhook Setup**, with your PanoQore webhook URL. |

When you save them, PanoQore signs in to Nomba and reads your parent account. The console shows the account name Nomba reports.

## Accounts

You open each virtual account with Nomba, using the customer's BVN or NIN. PanoQore holds no personal data. Then you [bind the number](https://docs.panoqore.com/guides/named-accounts.md#bind-a-number) to a wallet.

In full integration, PanoQore first looks the number up among your virtual accounts, and uses Nomba's name for it. A number that is not one of yours cannot be bound.

## Inbound credits

In full integration, Nomba posts notices to your webhook URL.

Nomba signs each notice with your webhook key. PanoQore checks the `nomba-signature` header, an HMAC-SHA256 in base64, and refuses a notice whose signature does not hold. A notice cannot be checked, and is refused, until `webhook_key` is set.

A `payment_success` notice to a virtual account is a credit. Payouts, failures, reversals, and payments that did not land in a virtual account are not.

Even a signed notice is not trusted on its own. PanoQore requeries the transfer with Nomba by its session id, and credits only a transfer Nomba reports as a successful credit, for the amount Nomba states. A notice with no session id cannot be requeried, so it posts nothing, and the hourly pull picks the credit up. If Nomba cannot be reached, the notice is refused and Nomba sends it again.

Each hour, PanoQore also pulls the successful credits to each bound virtual account and posts any a notice missed. The transaction id is Nomba's, so the same transfer never posts twice.

In ledger-only mode, report each credit yourself with `POST /v1/partners/nomba/credits`. See [Record a credit](https://docs.panoqore.com/guides/named-accounts.md#record-a-credit).

## Statements

Where PanoQore can read your history, it builds each day's statement from your virtual accounts' transactions and matches it each morning. Virtual accounts only receive, so every line is a credit. Payouts leave from your parent account, which is not part of the statement.

Otherwise, upload the day's statement. See [Reconciliation](https://docs.panoqore.com/guides/reconciliation.md).

## Amounts

Nomba writes amounts in naira. PanoQore converts them to kobo, and refuses an amount that is not a whole number of kobo rather than round it.

## Limitations

* NGN only.
* PanoQore does not open virtual accounts at Nomba. You open them and bind them.
* Payouts are not available yet.
