PanoQore is a ledger API. It records accounts, balances, entries, holds, fees, FX conversions and reconciliation for a fintech product. Your product keeps its customers and its user experience, and calls PanoQore to record what happened to the money.

What it keeps and what it does not

PanoQore keeps double-entry records. Every entry balances in each currency, and posted entries are never edited: a correction is a new entry. It holds no personal data. An account’s ownerRef is an opaque id from your product. Do not put names, phone numbers or BVNs in ownerRef, metadata or loanRef. It does not move money at a bank. You tell it what your partner did, or, under full integration, it confirms credits with the partner. Payment execution is not available in v1.

Two kinds of caller

This reference covers what an API key can call. Work that needs a person, such as approving a request, happens in the console.

How the API looks

  • REST over HTTPS, JSON in lowerCamelCase.
  • Authorization: Bearer pk_... on every call. The tenant comes from the key, never from the request.
  • Amounts are strings of minor units: "500000" is ₦5,000.00.
  • Every money-moving write takes an Idempotency-Key header.
  • Refusals have one shape, with a stable error.code.
